Runpu has won the ETH Medal vor Master's theses. He received the award at the graduation ceremony on Friday, for his outstanding thesis on diffusion imaging with joint control of spectral and directional sensitivity.

Runpu was awarded "Best oral presentation" by the ISMRM Diffusion Study Group during this year's ISMRM Annual Meeting in Singapore, for his presentation "Investigation of the time- and frequency-dependence of diffusion kurtosis in the human brain with pulsed and oscillating gradient experiments"
