Congratulations to Oskar Björkqvist and Jason van Schoor on winning Outstanding Abstract Awards at the ESMRMB meeting in Barcelona! They were honored for their works on "Autonomous synchronization and calibration for field cameras" and "Direct collagen MRI".

Runpu has won the ETH Medal vor Master's theses. He received the award at the graduation ceremony on Friday, for his outstanding thesis on diffusion imaging with joint control of spectral and directional sensitivity.

Runpu was awarded "Best oral presentation" by the ISMRM Diffusion Study Group during this year's ISMRM Annual Meeting in Singapore, for his presentation "Investigation of the time- and frequency-dependence of diffusion kurtosis in the human brain with pulsed and oscillating gradient experiments"

The loss of myelin sheaths in the brain is a hallmark of multiple sclerosis. Researchers at ETH Zurich have now developed an MRI method that maps the condition of this nerve insulation layer more accurately than before.  

Emily successfully defended her Ph.D. thesis "Mapping the Myelin Bilayer with Short-T2 Magnetic Resonance Imaging"
