ProFit

ProFit is a MATLAB-based prior-knowledge quantification package for in vivo and ex vivo 2D J-resolved single-volume MRS data and was originally developed by Rolf. F. Schulte.

The source code is available as freeware package for non-commercial use, but currently only supports maximum-echo sampled JPRESS spectra in Philips .sdat/.spar file format and comes with basis spectra for brain metabolites.

An extended version is under preparation. It will include:

• improved user interface
• COSY fitting
• macromolecular baseline fit
• optional editing of regularization parameters
• hopefully read-in routines for additional data formats

After registration as non-commercial user by filling in and signing the licence we provide a password which allows you to download an archive that includes the source code, a set of basis spectra for brain metabolites and example data sets. Your email-adress will be added to a mailing list that informs you about updatet versions (automatic unsubscription is possible). In order to develop the package further we are keen to get feedback as well as extensions i.e. alternative read-in routines or bug fixes.
